Male Charged with 9 Shoplifting Offences

Adam Garside (25/01/1993) of no fixed abode as been charged with 9 theft Offences and 2 Breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order. 

He is due to appear at Stockport Magistrates Court on Monday 11th May 2026. 

The charges relate to incidents of shoplifting at locations across Woodley, Bredbury and Romiley and is a positive result for Operation Byland which aims to tackle the drugs economy and associated criminality in the Woodley and Bredbury areas. 

Sergeant Rachel Walton of the East Stockport Neighbourhood Team said: By gathering intelligence and strengthening partnerships with the local community, we have been able to disrupt prolific criminality and anti‑social behaviour, helping to make the area safer. As part of Operation Byland, we will continue to we will continue to work closely with residents, businesses and partners to proactively identify, detect and disrupt criminal activity.
